You can instantly file a report over the phone. All you need is the Hellas Direct insured vehicle’s license plate number, VIN or policy number. Here’s what you’ll need to do.

If there is a mutual agreement, we begin with the documents

We will need photos of the vehicles’ documents, such as the registration certificate, RCA insurance, driver’s license, and ID card.

We then need some more photos from the accident site

You take some photos of the accident site and the vehicle damages. The more detailed the photos, the better and faster we can help you.

Finally, we need the accident report form

You send us the amiable accident form signed by both parties together with any additional information regarding the accident.

If the police are involved, we will also need their report

After submitting the claim for compensation, the insurer has 30 days to give you an answer. The insurer can approve the request and make an offer of compensation or can partially or totally refuse the request for compensation.

The compensation offer must contain the detailed calculation of the repair costs and the rates according to which the labor was calculated.

If the claim for compensation has been approved, and the injured party accepts the quantified amount, then the insurer has 10 days to make the payment.

The insurer has the right to order its own investigation, even if the claim file is complete and there is a document of guilt (the Amicable Claim Accident form or police report).

The term in which the insurer is obliged to notify the injured party regarding the performance of its own investigation is 5 working days from the opening of the claim file. The communication of the result must not exceed 30 days from the date of submission of the claim for compensation.

The investigation takes place when the insurer has certain suspicions regarding the factors responsible for the accident.
It depends on so many parameters that we can't say for sure. On average we compensate 50% of cases within one day. If you call us immediately after an accident and it is clear that you are not at fault, then it is very likely that you will be compensated within 24 hours.
